Chief Secretary’s Order
State Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi issued instructions to all departments, boards, and corporations, stating that former Agniveers residing in Haryana will now be eligible for age relaxation in government recruitment. This relaxation is being granted taking into account their military service period, so that they are not subject to age restrictions after completing their service.
Special Concessions for Group B and C Posts
According to the official order, former Agniveers will receive an additional three-year age relaxation for recruitment to Group B and Group C posts. A five-year special relaxation is available for Agniveers recruited in the first batch. This government move brings relief to the 2,227 Agniveers who were included in the initial group of the scheme.
Why this decision was necessary:
So far, 7,228 Agniveers from Haryana have joined the Army – 2,227 from the first batch, 2,893 from the second, and 2,108 from the third. After completing four years of service, many Agniveers exceed the normal recruitment limit. The new policy will provide them with employment opportunities in the government sector and a chance for social rehabilitation.
The government has clarified that this order
will apply equally to all state departments, universities, boards, corporations, and regional offices. All officials have been strictly instructed to comply with this decision so that no eligible Agniveer is left without it.
