Many schools ask for the Aadhaar number of the children during the admission process. If you have not got your child’s Aadhaar made, then you should apply for your child’s Aadhaar today. Anyone of any age including newborns and children can apply for Aadhaar. In this news, we are giving all the information related to child Aadhaar, which will help in making your child’s aadhar card.

Which documents are needed

1) Birth certificate of the child or discharge slip from a government hospital

2) Aadhaar of either of the parents

It is to be known that for biometric authentication, parents will have to visit the Aadhaar Seva Kendra with the child below the age of 5 years.

Aadhaar for children below 5 years of age

Biometrics have not been developed for children under five years of age. As a result, biometric information such as fingerprints and iris scans are not included in the child’s Aadhaar data. Biometrics should be updated once the child reaches the age of five.

Aadhaar for children above 5 years

When these children turn 5 and 15 years old, they will have to update their biometrics, which include ten fingers, iris and a picture of their face. This will be mentioned in the original Aadhaar letter.

Offline Registration for Bal Aadhar Card

Step 1: Visit the nearest Aadhar Card Enrollment Centre.

Step 2: Fill the form for Aadhar card of children.

Step 3: Submit the form along with birth certificate and Aadhar card of parents.

Step 4: Aadhar card details and mobile number of the parents should be given.

Step 5: After the verification process, the photograph of the child will be taken. Biometrics of children below five years of age will not be taken.

Step 6: If the child is five years of age or above, a photograph and biometric data such as iris scan and fingerprints will be taken.

Step 7: You will get the acknowledgment slip for future reference, keep it safe.

Step 8: You will get a text message within 60 days, and your Baal Aadhaar will be received within that time frame.

How to Register for Children Aadhaar Online

Step 1: Visit the official website of UIDAI and register for Bal Aadhar card online.

Step 2: Go to the Aadhar card registration page and click on it.

Step 3: Fill in all the required information, such as the child’s name, parent’s phone number and e-mail address.

Step 4: After entering all the personal information, fill in all the demographic information.

Step 5: Click on the Fix Appointment tab to continue. Now you can set the date of registration for Aadhar card.

Step 6: Applicants can proceed with the enrollment process by selecting the nearest enrollment centre.

Step 7: Visit the nearest Aadhar Card Enrollment Centre.

Step 8: Submit the form along with birth certificate and Aadhar card of parents.

Step 9: Provide the Aadhar card details and mobile number of the parents.

Step 10: After the verification process, the child’s photograph will be taken.

Biometrics of children below five years of age will not be taken.

Step 11: If the child is five years of age or above, a photograph and biometric data such as iris scan and fingerprints will be taken.
