What does the Aadhaar Act say?
Bhuvnesh Kumar said that using Aadhaar can speed up the age verification process while maintaining a person’s privacy. Kumar said, “We are considering why any other details are needed on the card. It should only contain a photo and a QR code. If we print more information, people will believe that and those who know how to misuse it will continue to do so.” According to the Aadhaar Act, any person’s Aadhaar number or biometric details cannot be collected, used, or stored for offline verification. Yet, many organizations collect and store photocopies of Aadhaar cards.
UIDAI launched a new mobile app
It’s worth noting that UIDAI recently launched a new mobile app for Aadhaar, e-Aadhaar. The e-Aadhaar app offers numerous features to keep your Aadhaar secure. This app allows you to completely hide your Aadhaar details. Additionally, you can lock or unlock the biometric details of your digital Aadhaar card. Furthermore, you can also hide your Aadhaar number. Many types of fraud can be perpetrated using Aadhaar cards. This is why UIDAI is very serious about Aadhaar security and, from time to time, provides appropriate security updates.
