Aadhaar Card Enrolment: In case of absence of fingerprints, Aadhaar enrollment can be done through IRIS Scan.

In today’s time, Aadhaar has become an important document. Aadhaar card is required for opening a bank account, school college admission, purchasing property, getting a driving license and PAN card and availing the benefits of various government schemes. When we go to get Aadhaar card made, biometric i.e. fingerprint and iris scan is done. But what happens when a person does not have both hands or fingers? Are there people who can get Aadhaar made? Let us know what the UIDAI rules say.

Aadhaar can be made without fingerprint, know how

The government has changed the rules for making Aadhaar. Union Minister Rajiv Chandrashekhar issued a statement saying that even those without hands can get Aadhaar made. A person who is eligible for Aadhaar but is unable to provide fingerprints can generate Aadhaar using only an iris scan. Similarly, a person who is unable to provide a scan of his irises can enroll for Aadhaar using only his fingerprint.

Why did this change happen?

Aadhaar Seva Kendra did not create Josimol’s Aadhaar because they do not have hands. In this situation she could not enroll for Aadhaar. However, now after the change in this rule, lakhs of people will benefit.

After this incident, Minister of State for IT Chandrashekhar said that an advisory has been sent to all Aadhaar Seva Kendras, directing them to issue Aadhaar to people like Jose or others with blurred fingerprints or similar disabilities by taking alternative biometrics. should go.
