This time UIDAI has shared the list of valid documents to correct the address of the house in the Aadhar card.
The Unique Identification Authority of India has said that ‘Address proof is such a document, in which your full address along with your name is recorded.
UIDAI has released the complete list of documents required for Aadhaar registration and address updation. This list can be seen on the website of UIADI, uidai.gov.in.
The documents which are recognized by UIDAI for home address are as follows
- – Bank Statement/ Passbook
- – Passport
- – Post Office Account Statement/ Passbook
- – Ration Card
- – Voter ID
- – Driving License
- – Government Photo ID Card
- – Electricity Tax Bill
- – Water Bill
- – Telephone Landline Bill
- – Property Tax Receipt
- – Credit Card Statement
- – Insurance Policy
- – Documents with Photographs on Bank Letterhead
- – Documents with Photographs on Registered Company Letterhead
- – MGNREGA Job Card
- – Arms License
- – Pensioner Card
- – Freedom Fighter Card
- – Kisan Passbook
- – CGHC Card

How to update address sitting at home
- First of all go to the link of self-update portal of Aadhaar (ssup.uidai.gov.in/ssup).
- Click on the link ‘Proceed to Update Aadhaar’ here.
- Now enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number here.
- Verify Aadhaar with the help of captcha code.
- Now enter your registered mobile number.
- Here the registered mobile number OTP will come.
- Now type your new address.
- Upload a copy of any one of the documents mentioned here.
In this way, you can update your home address in Aadhar card sitting at home.
