According to the new rules of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), people can now change the address on their Aadhaar card without the use of official documents. Under the new rules, a person can change his address on the ‘My Aadhaar’ portal with the consent of the Head of the Family (HOF).

Unique Identification Authority of India provides a facility where a person can update the address in Aadhaar card online with the permission of the head of the family. It will help to provide assistance to the citizens in case of missing their parents name, husband or wife name. Here we are going to tell you about how to update the head of the family online in Aadhaar.

  • First of all go to My Aadhaar portal. (https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in)
  • Go to the Update Address tab.
  • Now enter the valid Aadhaar number for the head of the household.
  • Upload the proof of relationship document after verification of the Aadhaar number of the head of the family.
  • After successful transaction of ₹50 you will be sent a service request number and the head of the household will receive an alert about the address request via SMS.
  • If the request is approved by signing in to the My Aadhaar portal within 30 days of the receipt of the alert, the request will be processed.

Meanwhile, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has recently issued a guideline regarding the Aadhaar card of children, which is called Child Aadhaar. According to the latest guidelines issued by the authority, it is mandatory to update biometric information in the Aadhaar data of children between the ages of five and 15 years.

Recently, UIDAI had informed by tweeting that it is mandatory to update biometric details of children aged 5-15 years and the process of doing so is free. Apart from this, the authority announced in another tweet that there will be no change in the Aadhaar number of the child after updating the biometrics. Therefore, the authority has informed the parents to visit the nearest Aadhaar Enrollment Center to fill the form and update the biometric data of the children.
