7th Pay DA – DR Latest Update : SC Maheshwari, Secretary General of Bharat Pensioners Society has claimed that 34 thousand crore rupees of employees deposited by the government can be above Rs 36,000 crore with interest.

7th Pay DA – DR Latest Update: The Finance Ministry has given a big blow to all the pensioners who had appealed for the release of three installments of DR (Dearness Relief). Explain that the government had withdrawn three installments of DA (Dearness Allowance) given to pensioners during the peak of Corona for necessary relief works. According to the report of Hindustan Times, the government has a total deposit of 34 thousand crore rupees of DA and DR of pensioners. Explain that the central government pays DA and DR to its employees for better living. DA is called dearness allowance and DR is called the amount given for relief from dearness.

After the removal of the freeze, the allowance has increased three times:

In the 32nd meeting of Pension Review held on Monday, an official of the Department of Expenditure (DoE) said that the amount of DA and DR which was withheld, will not be released at present. Let us tell you that the Department of Expenditure is a branch of the Ministry of Finance. According to the report, when the pensioners mailed the Finance Ministry and DoE for DR and DA money, no response was given to them. Let us inform that in the year 2021, when the freeze on DR and DA was removed, these allowances were increased thrice, which doubles this amount.

Deposited money above Rs 36 thousand crore by adding interest:

In March 2022, when the corona virus started wreaking havoc in India, the government had frozen the DA and DR a month later i.e. from April. According to the report, the three installments of the employees that the government had frozen are for 1 January 2020, 1 July 2020 and 1 January 2021. Let us inform that in 2021, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, in a written reply to a question asked in the Rajya Sabha, had said that Rs 34,402 crore was saved from the withheld three installments of DA and DR of employees.

SC Maheshwari, the secretary general of Bharat Pensioners Samaj, has claimed that the money deposited by the government along with interest can be above Rs 36,000 crore.
