DA Hike Latest News: The Modi government at the Center is preparing to give a big gift to the central employees and pensioners. From July 1, 2022, the government can announce an increase in the dearness allowance of government employees and pensioners at any time.

If the retail inflation rate is above 7 percent, then the wholesale price based inflation rate remains above 15 percent. In such a situation, to give relief from inflation to central employees and pensioners, the Modi government is going to make a big increase in dearness allowance of central employees.

In fact, the first estimate was that the dearness allowance would be increased by 4 percent. But after the data of All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers, it is expected that dearness allowance can be increased by up to 5 percent.

Central employees currently get 34 percent dearness allowance, which was announced in March 2022 to increase. But it is believed that for the second half of 2022, the dearness allowance can be increased by 5 percent to 39 percent. Estimates are being made in view of the data of All-India Consumer Price Index for the month of April.

In view of the rising inflation in the country, it is being speculated that in the month of July, the government can make a big increase in Dearness Allowance (DA). If this happens, a tremendous increase in the salary of central employees is possible. If the dearness allowance of central employees is increased from 34 percent to 39 percent, then it can increase the salary of central employees from Rs 8,000 to Rs 27,000.

According to the data, the effect of this decision of the central government will be 47 lakh employees and 68 lakh pensioners. In general, there has been a trend of increasing dearness allowance from 1st January and 1st July, in such a situation, in the month of July, central workers can get the gift of happiness.

Let us tell you that the central government revises DA and DR twice a year during the month of January and July on the basis of retail inflation data. Inflation in the country has reached above the estimates of RBI. Retail inflation has gone above the RBI’s tolerance level of 6 per cent.
