7th Pay Commission – Good news for the employees. In fact, according to a new update of the government, there is going to be an increase of Rs 9 thousand in the salary of the employees. Let us know in detail in the news below this update from the government.

Under the 7th Pay Commission, the dearness allowance (DA Hike) of central employees is increased twice a year. How much DA will increase depends on the AICPI index. Many countries around the world are struggling with the problem of inflation.

Regarding inflation in the country, RBI has expressed apprehension that inflation may increase further in the coming times. This is the reason why RBI is going to do monetary policy ahead of time this time in November. But if we talk separately from inflation, then it is easy to increase good dearness allowance in the coming times.

There is a possibility of 4 percent increase in dearness allowance.

In the last week of September, a 4 percent increase in DA Hike has been announced. It has been implemented from 1 July 2022. The next revision in DA will be from January 2023. Experts say that in view of the situation of inflation, there may be an increase of 4 percent in the dearness allowance again in the coming days. It is expected that the dearness allowance will increase to 42 per cent in January.

Dearness Allowance has been reduced to zero in 2016-

The rule of dearness allowance is that it will be reduced to zero as soon as it reaches 50 per cent. When the 7th Pay Commission came into force in 2016, the dearness allowance was made zero.

The amount received by the employees as allowance will be added to the basic salary at the rate of 50 percent. For example, if the basic pay is Rs 18,000, he will get 50 per cent DA of Rs 9,000. But after 50 per cent, by adding it to the basic pay, the dearness allowance will again become zero.

This work was done in 2016-

Experts also say that the rule is that the entire DA received by the employees should be added to the basic salary. But many times the economic situation comes in the way of doing this. However, this was done in 2016. In the year 2006, when the 6th pay scale was implemented, 187 percent DA was being received till December in the fifth pay scale. The entire DA was merged with the basic pay.

3 percent HRA will also increase-

The next revision in House Rent Allowance (HRA) will also be of 3 percent. HRA will be increased to 30 percent from the existing maximum rate of 27 percent. But, this is possible only when the Dearness Allowance (DA) is more than 50%. According to the memorandum, if DA crosses 50 per cent, then HRA will be 30 per cent, 20 per cent and 10 per cent. The category of House Rent Allowance (HRA) is as per X, Y and Z category cities.

The central employee coming in X category is getting 27% HRA, 50% DA will be 30%. At the same time, for Y category people, it will increase from 18 percent to 20 percent. For Z category people, it will increase from 9 percent to 10 percent.
