7th Pay Commission: Salary of central employees will increase this month, see details

7th Pay Commission: An update related to 7th Pay Commission has come out in which it has been told that the employees working in Indian Railways are all set to receive the increased Dearness Allowance (DA) in April 2022.


It is important to note that the Government of India had recently increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) . The DA of government employees has been increased from 31 percent to 34 percent.

By the end of April, employees can get dearness allowance by increasing

Due to which all the employees of the Central Government will get its benefit. According to the report of Zee Business, now the Indian Railways has decided to implement the decision of the Government of India in April. It has been said in the report that the Indian Railways in a letter has asked all its zonal officers to give increased DA to the employees. In addition, it is expected that the Railway employees will get the enhanced Dearness Allowance by the end of April 2022.

More than 14 lakh employees will get benefits

The report released also states that more than 14 lakh employees of Indian Railways will get its benefit. The Union Cabinet had last month approved a 3 per cent hike in DA of central government employees under the 7th Pay Commission. The move is expected to benefit over 50 lakh government employees.

Apart from this, the benefits will also be provided to the pensioners of the Central Government. Because the government has also increased Dearness Allowance (DR). About 65 lakh pensioners will benefit from this big decision. DA and DR are calculated on the basis of inflation rate as per All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers which is released by Labor Bureau, Ministry of Labor and Employment. Meanwhile, the Karnataka government recently announced to increase the DA and DR rates for state government employees from the existing 24.50 per cent to 27.25 per cent of the basic pay with effect from January 01, 2022.
