Dress allowance was paid to these Defense Civilian employees under the 7th Pay Commission. This recovery is to be done from the employees who are about to retire.

According to Vimala Vikram, Under Secretary in the Government of India, the Group C and Group D employees of the Civil Staff of the Defense Department have been asked to make recovery. In this, 50 percent recovery will be done from the retired employees between July and September. At the same time, between October and December, there will be 25 percent recovery from the retired employees. There will be no recovery from retirees between January and June.

According to the order, there will be no recovery from the families of defense civilian employees who have died. This order has been sent to Kolkata, Siliguri and other offices. Let us inform that some units under the Defense Department had sought clarification in this regard. On this the Defense Department issued this order.

3. All AO GEs

4. Pay Army (Local)

5. Pay MES (Local)

10 to 20 thousand allowance

According to Harishankar Tiwari, former president of AG Office Brotherhood, the government gives allowances to the army and the armed forces to maintain the dress. At the lower level in the army, it is around 10 thousand rupees annually. At the same time, 15 thousand rupees of MNS officers are around annually. Whereas the officers of Army, Navy and Airforce get an allowance of around 20 thousand rupees annually. This allowance comes together in July.

Increase in dearness allowance will increase

Harishankar Tiwari said that the soldiers posted on the Siachen Glacier get a second allowance for warm clothes to avoid the cold. If the dearness allowance is increased by 50 per cent, the dress allowance will increase by 25 per cent. This fixation is from 1st July 2017.
