7th Pay Commission Latest Update: Due to increase in dearness allowance of central employees, their salary may increase by up to Rs 20,000. Along with this, pensioners will also get benefits.

7th Pay Commission Latest Update: As the new year is approaching, the Central Government has decided to reward the hard work of its employees by increasing their Dearness Allowance (DA) . There is also good news for the pensioners who have worked under the central government. His pension will also increase.

The hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) will reportedly increase the salary of each individual by a minimum of Rs 20,000. The same, if the fitment factor is also increased, then the salary will increase by 26 thousand rupees. The fitment factor is the basic salary of all central government employees.

According to media reports, in January 2022, the DA and pension of former central employees will increase by 3 percent. After this, DA will increase from 31 per cent to 34 per cent, which will benefit 68 lakh employees and 48 lakh pensioners. Salary will also increase by Rs 20,000.

At present, DA as per AICPI data till September 2021 was 32.81 per cent and DA is yet to be calculated for October-November as well as December data. If the CPI (IW) figure remains at 125 by December 2021, then the DA is certain to increase by 3 per cent and will then be paid in January 2022. This means that with a 3 per cent increase in DA in 2022, it will increase from 31 per cent to 34 per cent.

For example, if the DA is 34 per cent, then the DA for an employee with a basic salary of Rs 18,000 will be Rs 6,480 per annum and for a salary of Rs 56,000, the DA will be Rs 20,484 per annum.

The central government is also planning to increase the fitment factor of the employees. The fitment factor was last increased in 2016, in which the minimum basic pay of employees was increased from Rs 6,000 to Rs 18,000. Due to this, there will be a big jump in the salary of the employees. With the corresponding increase in basic pay, dearness allowance will also automatically increase.
