7th Pay Commission Latest Update: Ahead of the 2022 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath government has announced an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for government employees. The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a 3 percent increase in DA for state government employees. Dearness allowance of state employees will increase from 28 percent earlier to 31 percent. This hike will be applicable from July 2021 and the balance will be transferred to the provident fund account of the employees.



The last revision was announced on July 28, 2021 when DA was revised to 28 per cent, the rate at which employees are drawing allowances. A revision of DA was put on hold due to Covid-19 in 2020, at which time it was 17 percent.

An official said that DA is increased twice annually, on January 1 and July 1, but in April 2020, the Center and then the state announced that there would be no revision in DA till July 1, 2021 to help the government tide over the financial crisis. can get help. Covid-19 pandemic.

State government sources said that for those who are members of the National Pension Scheme, some amount of the revised DA will be deposited in the NPS accounts. Those who had retired before the announcement of the decision would be paid the due amount in cash.
