7th pay commission latest update: The central government has issued cash payment and gratuity to retired central employees. In the release issued by the Ministry of Finance, information has also been given about the release of Dearness Allowance (DA) from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.  

 

7th pay commission latest update: Good news has come for retired central employees. The Central Government has issued cash payment and gratuity to retired Central Government Employees. The Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance has issued gratuity from January 2020 to June 2021. In the release issued by the Ministry of Finance, information has also been given about the issuance of Dearness Allowance from 1 January 2020 to 30 June 2021.

DA will be 17% of the basic salary 

for retired personnel, the rate of dearness allowance (DA) will be 17 percent of the basic salary during this period. Remember that in this the additional installation of 4 percent DA increased on 1 January 2020, 3 percent DA increased on 1 July 2020 and 4 percent DA increased on 1 January 2020 has been added to 28 percent.

Facility of gratuity in lieu of leave As 

per the provisions of Central Civil Services (Pension) Rules 1972, DA on the date of retirement or death is reckoned as emoluments on the basis of computation of gratuity. In the memorandum issued by the Finance Ministry, it has also been told that gratuity and cash payment in lieu of leave will be one time retirement benefits for central employees and already retired employees who have retired from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.



all other conditions prescribed in CCS Pension Rules 1972 and orders of Pension and PW Department of gratuity and cash payment in lieu of leave will be applicable at the time of calculation.

DA has increased by 3 percent in October

There has been an increase of three percent in the dearness allowance of central employees. In this way Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) has increased from 28 percent to 31 percent. Now total, DA increased to 31 percent in October.
