7th Pay commission: After increasing the DA of January in March, now the eyes of the central employees are on the DA of July. But the increase in July depends on the AICPI index. AICPI index data for March will be released on April 30. The situation will be clear only after this.

7th Pay commission: The government has increased the Dearness Allowance of central employees to 34 percent in the last days. In the salary of April, both the increased DA of the employees and 3 months arrears will come. But, DA is to be revised again in July 2022. However, it did not start well.

March data will come on 30 April

In the first two months of the year, January-February 2022, the trend of Dearness Allowance (Next DA Hike) was negative i.e. decline in the figures of AICPI index. Now the figures for March are awaited. This figure will come on 30 April. However, there is little hope of increasing Dearness Allowance (DA) from the current trend. The next dearness allowance is to be announced after two months in July.

Hence there is less DA expected to increase

Let us tell you that according to the 7th Pay Commission, dearness allowance of central government employees is revised twice a year. The first time in January and the second six months later in July. The first dearness allowance for 2022 has been announced in March. It was increased from 31 to 34 percent by the government. Consumer inflation is also increasing continuously. But, at the level of industrial workers, the figure is better than the current rate. In such a situation, on the basis of the numbers that have come now, there is little possibility of increase in the next dearness allowance. There is still 3 months left.

How much decline in AICPI numbers?

Last year in December 2021, the AICPI was at 125.4. A month later, in January 2022, it fell 0.3 points to 125.1. In February, it declined further and it came down to 125. Due to this fall, it is feared that dearness allowance may hardly increase in July. If the March figure goes below this, then the chances of increasing the DA are very less. DA can be kept constant if it goes below 124.

Right now the hope of increasing DA in the 7th Pay Commission (7th Pay commission) in July 2022 has not ended. The index will also be affected by the data from March to June. If there is an improvement in the AICPI index from March to June, then the central employees can get good news again on DA. But if the index goes down, the expectation of DA increase is less.
