After giving the gift of increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) to the Central employees getting 7th Pay Commission, now other Central Government employees will also get the benefit of it.
Because the government has approved the increase in dearness allowance for the employees of 5th Pay Commission and 6th Pay Commission. According to the government order, the dearness allowance of the employees of the 5th Pay Commission and the 6th Pay Commission of the Central Government and Central Autonomous Bodies (Public Sector Undertakings) has been increased from January 1, 2022.
Benefits to the people of 5th and 6th pay commission:
According to the government order, the Dearness Allowance of the employees of the Central Government and Central Autonomous Bodies is being increased from 368 percent to 381 percent under the 5th Pay Commission. This hike will come into effect from January 1, 2022. At the same time, Dearness Allowance of employees coming under the Sixth Pay Commission is being increased from the existing 196 to 203 percent. Along with this, the payment of Dearness Relief (DR) to Central Government pensioners or family pensioners has also been revised from January 1, 2022. Dearness Relief payable to Central Government pensioners/family pensioners has been increased from the existing rate of 31 per cent to 34 per cent with effect from January 1, 2022.
DA: 7th Pay Commission was increased in March
According to Harishankar Tiwari, former president of AG Office Brotherhood, Prayagraj, the government had earlier increased the DA of central employees with the 7th Pay Commission. In March, his dearness allowance was announced to increase by 3 percent. Along with this, the increase in dearness relief to pensioners was also implemented.

- Civilian Central Government Pensioners/Family Pensioners including Central Govt. absorbee pensioners in PSU/Autonomous Bodies
- The Armed Forces Pensioners, Civilian Pensioners paid out of the Defense Service
- All India Service Pensioners
- Railway Pensioners/family pensioners.
