Actually, the wait for the outstanding DA arrears of more than 1 crore central employees is going to end soon. The central government is contemplating to give 2 lakh rupees of DA to the central employees simultaneously.

Government is considering to give arrears DA

Government employees hope that the government will soon consider giving DA arrears. Let us tell you that the Finance Ministry had postponed the DA hike in May 2020 till 30 June 2021 due to the Kovid-19 epidemic. DA arrears depend on the level of the employees.

According to the reports going on in the media, there will be a meeting of the Joint Consultative Mechanism with the officials of the Ministry of Finance, Department of Personnel and Training and Department of Expenditure. In this, the one-time payment of DA arrears is to be discussed. According to the news, the government can give up to Rs 2 lakh to the employees as DA arrears.


Employees and pensioners organization is continuously demanding from the government to give this arrears. These people say that the ruling of the Supreme Court is that salary and allowance is the right of the employee. In such a situation, the employees should also get the benefit of 18 months arrears.

Dearness allowance has increased

Let us inform that in view of the dearness figures, the dearness allowance of central employees was increased by 28 percent from July 1 by the Central Government. Earlier, they were getting paid at the rate of 17 per cent. At the same time, in October 2021, it was increased to 3 percent and 31 percent. Whereas in March 2022, once again the dearness allowance has been increased by 3 percent.
