7th Pay Commission: The  central government has made a big announcement for government employees before Diwali. The government has decided to increase their dearness allowance by 3 percent as a Diwali gift. Know how much salary will increase after this announcement?



New Delhi: 7th Pay Commission: Central employees have bat-bat. From July 1, 28% dearness allowance (DA) to central employees and dearness relief (DR) for pensioners has already started getting 28%. Salary will increase according to pay grade

Government announced 31% DA

The central government has made a big announcement for the government employees before Diwali. The government has decided to increase their Dearness Allowance by 3 percent as a Diwali gift. This means that the central employees will now get 31 percent dearness allowance. More than one crore central employees and pensioners will get the benefit of this.



Announcement will come into effect from July 1

According to the announcement of the central government, the new increase in dearness allowance will be considered effective from July 1 this year. Earlier in July, the government had increased the dearness allowance (DA Hike) by 11 per cent to 28 per cent. After that, now it has increased by 3 percent. Due to this, now government employees and pensioners will get 31 percent DA.

Calculation on 31% DA 

Now with the increase of 3% dearness allowance, the total DA will become 31%. According to the 7th Pay Commission Matrix, the salary range of Level-1 of central employees ranges from Rs 18,000 to Rs 56900. Now on the basic salary of Rs 18,000, the total annual dearness allowance will be Rs 66,960. But talking about the difference, the annual increase in salary will be Rs 30,240.

Calculation on minimum basic salary

1. Basic salary of the employee Rs 18,000

2. New dearness allowance (31%) Rs 5580/month

3. Dearness allowance so far (17%) Rs 3060/month

4. How much dearness allowance increased 5580-3060 = Rs 2520/month

5. Annual salary increase 2520X12 = Rs 30,240


Calculation on maximum basic salary

1. Basic salary of the employee Rs 56900

2. New dearness allowance (31%) Rs 17639 / month

3. Dearness allowance so far (17%) Rs 9673 / month

4. How much dearness allowance increased 17639-9673 = Rs 7966 / month

5. Annual salary increase 7966X12 = Rs 95,592

According to 31% dearness allowance, the total annual dearness allowance on the basic salary of Rs 56900 will be Rs 211,668. But talking about the difference, the annual increase in salary will be Rs 95,592.
