New Delhi: There is good news for 52 lakh central employees and 60 lakh pensioners. Before Diwali, the bag of central employees and pensioners is going to be filled. The central government can accept many demands including a re-increase in arrears and DA by the central employees.

In fact, the central employee is waiting for a 3% increase in arrears and DA for 18 months from Phil. In the coming days, their DA is to be increased by 3 percent. After this increase, there will be a significant increase in the salary of central employees.

Earlier, in July, the central government lifted the moratorium on dearness allowance, giving relief to lakhs of employees and pensioners. The government has increased the dearness allowance of employees from 17 per cent to 28 per cent. Giving gifts to the employees, the government has increased dearness allowance and dearness relief. On the other hand, before Diwali, the government is preparing to give another gift to the employees.

According to the data of AICPI, there is going to be a 3% increase in dearness allowance in June 2021 under the 7th Pay Commission. If this happens, then the total DA will increase to 31 percent. 31 per cent will be paid with the salary of September.

CM Secretary (Staff Side) Shiv Gopal Mishra says that if the government announces this soon, then it will definitely be a big relief for the government employees.

Significantly, in July, the Center had increased dearness allowance from 17 per cent to 28 per cent and house rent allowance from 24 per cent to 27 per cent. Now dearness allowance of central employees will again increase by 3 percent. This will increase it to 31 per cent.

Calculation on 31% dearness allowance

  • Basic salary of the employee – Rs 18,000
  • New Dearness Allowance (31%) – Rs 17,639 per month
  • Dearness Allowance so far (17 percent) – Rs 9,673 per month
  • How much dearness allowance increased – Rs 7966 per month
  • Annual Salary Increase – 7966×12 = Rs 95,592

The total dearness allowance has increased by 11 per cent as compared to last year. The government has reduced it to 28 per cent from July 2021. Now if it increases by 3 percent in June 2021, then it will reach 31 percent with dearness allowance (17+4+3+4+3). That is, if the basic salary of an employee is Rs 50,000, then he will get DA of Rs 15,500.

Let us tell you that after increasing the Central Government (DA), the House Rent Allowance (HRA) given to the central employees has also been increased. The government has increased the HRA to 27 percent. After the dearness allowance, now the increase in the House Rent Allowance (HRA) has become a problem for the central employees. The HRA has been increased by 1-3 per cent for different categories.

According to the order of the Ministry of Finance, now the central employees started getting 27 percent, 18 percent and 9 percent house rent allowance according to their city. The minimum house rent allowance for all the three categories is Rs 5400, 3600 and Rs 1800. Overall, let us tell you that the minimum DA hike will be Rs 5040 and the minimum HRA hike will be Rs 1800 every month. That is, the salary coming in September will increase by Rs 6840 (5040 + 1800).
