7th Pay Commission News: Good news has come out for the Central Government employees. In July, employees can be given the gift of 4 per cent DA hike.

7th Pay Commission DA Hike Update: DA is going to be increased once again by the Central Government. There may be an increase in the salary of the employees in July. It has been said in the media reports that from July 1, the central government can increase the dearness allowance to the employees by about 3 to 4 percent.

Under the Seventh Pay Commission, the central government increases the dearness allowance twice a year. The first hike is done during January and the second hike during July. In such a situation, the possibility of increase in DA has become even more. However, there is no official response regarding the hike in dearness allowance.

4 percent increase from the last three times

Since 31% DA, the government has been continuously increasing the dearness allowance by 4%. After thrice increasing the DA by 4 percent, now the dearness allowance of central employees and dearness relief of pensioners has reached 42 percent and it is estimated to increase by 4 percent more.

How is dearness allowance calculated?

The central government calculates DA on the basis of CPI-IW index. The Labor Bureau, a branch of the Ministry of Labour, releases CPI-IW figures every month. On the basis of this, it is decided whether the dearness allowance will increase or not. In the year 2023, there was a decline in the figures of All India Consumer Price (AICPI) Index during February, while it has seen an increase during March. For this reason it is being said that dearness allowance may also increase. A new formula has also been introduced to calculate DA.

There will be an increase in salary!

If the central government increases the dearness allowance, then there will be an increase in the salary of the employees. At present, DA 42 percent is being given to the employees. After the increase of 4 per cent, DA will be 46 per cent.
