DA hike will be applicable from January

In a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, it was said that the Union Cabinet chaired by PM Narendra Modi has approved the release of additional installment of DA to central government employees and an additional installment of DR to pensioners. Is. This increase in DA and DR will be applicable from January 1, 2022.

The basic salary of central employees is Rs 18,000. If we calculate dearness allowance at the rate of 34 percent on this, then it becomes Rs 6,120 per month. In this context, the employees are now getting Rs 540 more dearness allowance every month.

There has been a double increase in DA

Since now the DA of the employees has become 34 percent. So let us tell you that the DA of the employees has doubled in 9 months. In July 2021, the dearness allowance of employees was 17 percent. After this, the government increased the DA by 11 percent in the month of July. With this it had become 28 percent. After this, DA was increased by 3 percent in November. After this it became 31 percent.

It was also told by the central government that more than 47 lakh employees and more than 68 lakh pensioners will benefit from this step.

Employees are waiting for DA arrears

Let us tell you that from the year 2020, due to the effect of Kovid-19 epidemic, the Central Government had frozen the DA and DR hike for one and a half years for its current and former employees. Till now the employees of DA arrears have not been received.
