Important role of fitment factor in salary
Let us tell you that the fitment factor has an important role in the salary of government employees. Changes in this affect the entire salary. At present, central employees get salary according to the fitment factor of 2.57 percent. There has been a demand from the central employees for a long time to increase it to 3.68 percent. The dearness allowance of central employees is also expected to be increased from 38 percent to 42 percent in March.

At present, the minimum salary of the employees is Rs 18,000. After the decision on the fitment factor, it will increase to Rs 26,000. No information has been given by the government regarding all this. According to the fitment factor of 2.57 percent, now by adding other allowances to the basic salary of Rs.18000, we get Rs.18,000 X 2.57 = Rs.46260. But if it increases to 3.68 percent, then by adding other allowances to the employees, the salary will be 26000 X 3.68 = Rs 95680.
