Dearness allowance and dearness relief are to be increased for 63 lakh pensioners including 48 lakh central government employees. For which a proposal is being prepared by the government. It can be kept in the next cabinet meeting of the central government. The announcement of DA hike is expected by the end of September. Central employees will get great relief from this.

4% increase in dearness allowance possible

Along with this, the increase in the pension amount of lakhs of pensioners is also being considered as fixed. According to some media reports, the government may increase the dearness allowance by 4%. At present, the benefit of 42 percent DA-DR is being given to pensioners including central employees. It is estimated to increase by 4%. In such a situation, their dearness allowance and dearness relief can increase up to 48%.

A meeting of the Union Cabinet will be held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last week of September. In which a decision can be taken on the increase in dearness allowance of employees and pensioners. Navratri festivals are starting from 15 October. Dussehra is on 24 October. All hopes are being expressed. The benefit of increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief will be made available to pensioners including central employees before this.

AICPI figures also released

AICPI figures till June have also been released. Under which, four percent increase in dearness allowance is being considered. The figures for July 2023 have also been released. In January 2024 also, the government is expected to increase dearness allowance by four percent. In such a situation, the percentage of dearness relief for central employees may soon increase to 50%.

Earlier, dearness allowance and dearness relief of employees and pensioners were increased by four percent for January 2023. With which his dearness allowance had increased from 38% to 42%. This was announced to the employees at the end of March. However, this benefit was made available to the employees from January. The benefit of the announcement of increase in dearness allowance till October will be given to the employees from July 2023.
