7th pay commission: DA increased once again by 4%, Government announced, they will get benefits.

7th pay commission: Before Diwali, states have also made preparations to increase the dearness allowance (DA) of their employees. Many states have also started making announcements. In this series, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced to increase the dearness allowance of state government employees by 4 percent.



How much is the allowance: Manohar Lal Khattar said that the Center has increased the DA for government employees from 42 percent to 46 percent. Keeping this decision in mind, the Haryana government has also decided to increase DA by four percent before Diwali. The Chief Minister said that the state government employees will get increased DA from July 1, 2023. This decision will benefit about 3.5 lakh employees in Haryana.

Center also announced: Recently, the Central Government had also announced increase in allowances. The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had approved the release of an additional installment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners from July 01, 2023. This increase is of 4 percent and with this the allowance has now increased to 46 percent.

The combined impact on the exchequer due to dearness allowance and dearness relief will be Rs 12,857 crore per year. This will benefit about 48.67 lakh central government employees and 67.95 lakh pensioners.
