7th Pay Commission DA Hike: Central employees will get good news next 24 hours, AICPI index final numbers will come, New DA Hike will be applicable

DA Hike: Central employees are waiting for their dearness allowance. It is not yet confirmed on which day his dearness allowance will be approved and when he will get its benefit. But, it is certain that there will be an increase of 4 percent in dearness allowance and it will be applicable from July 1, 2023. However, they may get even better news in the next 24 hours. Actually, on the evening of 30th September new numbers related to his dearness allowance will come. This will reveal how much the next dearness allowance will increase. AICPI index numbers will come on the evening of 30 September

So far it is confirmed that there will be an increase of 4 percent in the dearness allowance of central employees. Dearness allowance will increase to 46 percent. Till now he is being paid at the rate of 42 percent. But, AICPI-IW numbers for the month of August will come on the evening of 30th September. According to the trend so far, dearness allowance has crossed 47 percent. It is likely to cross 48 percent in the coming days. These numbers will confirm the dearness allowance numbers to be implemented from January next year. These numbers will be from the index between July and December. Let us tell you, there was a big jump of 3.3 points in the AICPI index numbers for July 2023.

How was the AICPI Index?

There was a jump of 3.3 points in the July numbers of AICPI index. The index has reached 139.7 points in July 2023. On the basis of this, the score of dearness allowance increased to 47.14 percent. Now the August numbers will decide how much more the dearness allowance score has increased. However, its final number will be calculated after the data received till December 2023. Experts have already expressed the possibility that by next year i.e. January 2024, dearness allowance will cross the 50 percent mark.

There will be a big jump in salary if DA is 50%.

Under the 7th pay commission, it will be reduced to zero as soon as the dearness allowance crosses 50 percent. Meaning the calculation of dearness allowance will start from 0. The special thing is that the money which will be received as allowance at the rate of 50 percent will be merged into the basic salary. The government had notified this while implementing the 7th Pay Commission in the year 2016. Suppose the basic salary of an employee is Rs 18000, then he would be getting Rs 9000 of 50% DA, in such a case, if DA becomes zero, it will be added to the basic salary. That is, the basic salary will be increased by adding Rs 9000 of allowance to the basic salary of the employee.

Waiting for dearness allowance

However, whatever happens next year, before that the employees are waiting for the dearness allowance for the second half of this year. There is to be an increase of 4 percent in the dearness allowance of employees. But, it is not yet decided on which day the employees will get this good news. If sources are to be believed, the government may approve it around Dussehra in October. The festive season is going to be good for the employees because, if it is approved near Dussehra, it will be paid along with the October salary.
