7th Pay commission Hike: Central government employees may get some good news by the end of February! Central government employees are currently getting Dearness Allowance at the rate of 46 percent. This time there is hope! That the government can again increase the dearness allowance (DA hike) to 4 percent, if this happens then DA will increase to 50 percent.

There is a good news for central employees and pensioners! Before the Lok Sabha elections, the Modi government at the Center can take many big decisions to help the employees and pensioners. There is news that before Holi, Dearness Allowance of employees may increase by 4 percent.

Apart from this, some important decisions can also be taken on House Rent Allowance, Fitment Factor and 18 months’ outstanding Dearness Allowance arrears. If this happens then salary and pension will increase by 20 thousand to 70 thousand. However, it has not been officially confirmed yet!

7th Pay Commission Hike DA may be 50 percent

The amount of increase in dearness allowance depends on the AICPI figures. Employees are expecting DA increase since the budget and the government will announce it soon! If the government increases the dearness allowance of the employees by 50 percent, then there can be a big increase in the salaries and allowances of the employees. At present, central employees are getting interest at the rate of 46 percent.

What happens when Dearness Allowance increases?

Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) of Central Government employees increases twice a year! If the government increases DA by 4 percent from January, then dearness allowance will increase from 46 percent to 50 percent. If the government takes such a decision, there will be a direct increase of at least Rs 9000 in the salary of the employees.

What will happen to DA when it reaches 50 percent?

The rule of Dearness Allowance is that in the year 2016, when the government implemented the 7th Pay Commission, the Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) was made zero. According to the rules, as soon as dearness allowance reaches 50 percent, it will be reduced to zero and the amount of allowance given to the employees at the rate of 50 percent will be added to the basic salary.

If the basic salary of an employee is Rs 18000 then he will get Rs 9000 as 50% DA. But, when DA reaches 50 percent, it will be added to the basic salary and again Dearness Allowance will become zero.
