The salary of the employees (Central government employee’s salary) will increase again. However, it has not yet been decided when the increased dearness allowance (DA Hike) will be approved in January 2023. But, a 4% increase in DA is fixed. It is expected that it can be approved in the cabinet meeting on 1 March. If this happens then there will be a good increase in the salary of the employees. At present, the dearness allowance is 38%.

This is how DA of January 2023 will be decided

According to experts, dearness allowance may increase by 4% in January 2023 as well. Means DA can increase from 38% to 42%. According to AICPI data, the figures have come till December 2022. Accordingly, a 4% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) is almost certain. After the dearness allowance received in January, DA will be calculated according to the figures and a good increase is being seen in it.

If we look at the figures of December 2022, then dearness allowance will be 42%. If till December 2022 the figure of CPI(IW) remains at 132.3. It is clear from the figures that the dearness allowance will increase by more than 4 percent. The total DA will increase from 38 percent to 42 percent. The increased DA for central employees from January 2023 can be paid in the salary of March.
