Dearness Allowance (7th Pay Commission DA Hike) has been increased by 4% by the government. In fact, after the June All India Consumer Price Index Industrial Workers (AICPI) data came out, it was certain that there would be a good increase in dearness allowance. Dearness Allowance increased to 38%
According to the news published in our affiliate website Zee Business, there has been an increase of 4% in the DA of central employees. The government has announced this. It is worth noting that the increase in DA depends on the data of AICPI. Now the total annual dearness allowance on the basic salary of Rs 56,900 in the maximum scale of pay-grade level 3 will be Rs 259,464. But, talking about the difference from the current dearness allowance, the annual increase in salary will be Rs 27,312.

When will the money of 38% DA come?

After increasing the Dearness Allowance by 4 percent, the total dearness allowance of central employees has increased to 38%, before that the dearness allowance of the employees was 34%. Dearness allowance will be paid in the salary of September 2022, while the increased DA has come into effect from July. That is, the money for the arrears of two months of July and August will also come in the account of the employees. Calculation on maximum basic salary

1. Basic salary of the employee Rs 56,900
2. New dearness allowance (38%) Rs 21,622/month
3. Dearness allowance so far (34%) Rs 19,346/month
4. How much dearness allowance increased by 21,622-19,346 = Rs 2260/month
5 2. Increase in annual salary 2260 X12 = Rs 27,120

Calculation on minimum basic salary
1. Basic salary of employee Rs 18,000
2. New dearness allowance (38%) Rs 6840/month
3. Dearness allowance so far (34%) Rs 6120/month
4. How much dearness allowance increased 6840-6120 = Rs 1080/month
5. Increase in annual salary 720 X12 = Rs 8640
