7th Pay Commission Update: The next 15 days are going to be very special for the central government employees. It is believed that during this time the Central Government will announce an increase in the Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) of its employees.

If we look at the pattern till now, the cabinet meeting of the central government has been taking place before Dussehra. DA increase is approved in this meeting. After this the media is informed about the decision taken on DA. Let us tell you that there is news that DA increase can be announced anytime between October 15 and October 24.

This time also the pattern is going to be more or less the same. Let us tell you that this time Dussehra is on 24th October. This means that the government will announce the DA increase before October 24. There is every possibility that the government may increase DA from 42 percent to 45 percent, which will be effective from July 1. Meaning DA will be increased by 3 percent.

October salary will increase

After the DA increase, the salary for October will increase. The outstanding DA from July to September will also be added to this salary. This increase will benefit 47 lakh employees and 68 lakh pensioners. This is expected to provide relief to the employees from the burden of rising inflation.

Election announcement has no effect

The Election Commission has announced the dates of assembly elections in five states including Madhya Pradesh. However, experts are saying that this is not going to affect the DA of central employees because this is a prescribed process based on the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission. It has to be given to the employees twice a year on half yearly basis.
