It was being said in the media reports that after Holi, the government may increase the DA of central employees. Now Holi is over and cabinet meeting is to be held today in which DA hike can be announced.
DA can increase this much today
This time the government can increase the DA of the employees by 4 percent. At present, interest is being paid at the rate of 38 per cent to government employees. The Modi government can increase the DA of central employees from 38 percent to 42 percent. It is expected that after the cabinet meeting to be held today, the government may announce to increase the DA of the employees by 4 percent.
DA of government employees increases twice a year
Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) of government employees are revised twice a year. It is considered applicable from 1 January and 1 July. The government can increase DA from 38 percent to 42 percent. There will be a 4 percent increase in DA this time. This will benefit lakhs of government employees and pensioners. The last revision in DA was done on 28 September 2022, which was considered to be applicable from 1 July 2022.
There will be so much increase in the salary of government employees
Right now the DA of the employees is 38 per cent. Suppose if your basic salary is Rs 18,000 per month under Level 1 pay scale, according to 38% DA, the employees would be getting Rs 6,840 DA at present. If there is an increase of 4 percent in it, then it will increase to 42 percent. 18,000 a month, then your DA will increase to Rs 7,560. Your DA will increase by a total of Rs 720 every month.
