However, no update or confirmation has been made on this yet.

According to media reports, around Holi, the Modi government at the Center can increase the dearness allowance or fitment factor of the central employees, after which DA arrears can also be considered. Employees have arrears of DA arrears from January 2020 to June 2021, which is made up to about 2 lakhs.

A joint meeting of JCM can be held soon with the officials of DoPT and Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, in which a decision can be taken on this. The same government employees will have a one-time settlement of DA (Dearness Allowance) for about 18 months in the account. The arrears (18 Months DA Arrear) can be transferred simultaneously.

May have to wait

Recently, a statement of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman came out in which she said that in view of the corona situation, the DA of the employees was stopped, so that the poor and needy could be helped. The salary of government ministers, MPs was also cut. But no deduction was made in the salary of central employees, DA and their salary were paid for the whole year.
