New Delhi: 7th Pay Commission: Central employees are going to get a big gift on the new year. Dearness Allowance is going to increase once again. According to media reports, the central government can increase the DA of employees by 2 or 3 percent. This will lead to a big increase in the salary of the employees.

What percentage increase dearness allowance

According to media reports, the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) will be clearer after the December figures come that will increase the percentage of the DA’s staff. The figures till October have come. Now the figures for November and December are to come, which will come by the end of January.

DA is getting 31 percent now.

Earlier, on the occasion of Diwali, the DA of central employees was increased. The DA of the employees was increased to 31 percent. It was implemented from July 2021. Now there is an indication of increase in DA in January 2022.


Experts say that if we look at the current figures of AICPI, then DA is sure to increase by 2 percent, but if this figure increases in November, then it can also increase by 3 percent. If the AICPI declines in November, the DA will not increase to 3 per cent.

How much will increase by increasing 2 percent DA,

Now 31 percent dearness allowance is being received. In such a situation, an employee with a basic salary of Rs 18,000 is getting Rs 5,580 as dearness allowance.

If there is a fall in the AICPI figures for November and the DA increases by 2 per cent, then an employee with a basic salary of Rs 18 thousand will get Rs 5,940 at the rate of 33 per cent dearness allowance. That is, DA will increase by Rs 360 per month. At the same time, there will be an increase of Rs 4,320 in DA annually.
