The other allowances which have cleared the way for increase after the dearness allowance increase include HRA, Travel Allowance (TA) and City Allowance. Increase in DA will increase the salary of central employees. It is expected that the salary for the month of April will come with increased DA.


New Delhi. After the increase in dearness allowance of central government employees, the expectation of increase in other allowances has increased. Soon the central employees can get good news about this. The Modi government has increased the dearness allowance of central employees by 3 percent. It has now increased to 34 percent.

Other allowances which have cleared the way for increase after the dearness allowance increase include HRA, Travel Allowance (TA) and City Allowance. Increase in DA will increase the salary of central employees. It is expected that the salary for the month of April will come with increased DA. This will benefit 50 lakh central government employees and 65 lakh pensioners.

3 percent increase in HRA is possible

According to experts, due to increase in DA, TA and city allowance will also increase. It is being said in many media reports that an increase of up to 3 percent in HRA is also possible. At present, central employees get HRA up to 27 percent.

HRA is calculated according to the category of the city. For this the cities are divided into X, Y and Z category. The highest increase of 3 percent is expected in the HRA of employees living or working in X category cities. While 2 percent for Y category and 1 percent for employees of Z category cities is expected to increase.
