7th Pay Commission Latest News: Big news has come out regarding the 7th pay scale. A big state has announced the benefit of 7th pay scale to hundreds of government employees from the new year.


7th Pay Commission in Punjab: Now only a few hours are left for the new year to start. But before that, the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab (Punjab AAP Government) has given New Year’s gifts to hundreds of government employees. The CM Bhagwant Mann government has announced that from the new year, the staff of state government universities and colleges will be paid according to the 7th pay scale. The purview of this announcement includes all teaching-non-teaching staff working in universities and colleges.

Pay scale will be given in 2 installments

Higher Education Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hare said that CM Bhagwant Mann had announced to give benefits of 7th Pay Commission to the staff of colleges and universities on Teacher’s Day on 5th September. Now it has been decided to pay the same arrears in 2 instalments. Regular teachers, guest teachers, teachers working on contract, guest faculty and part time faculties working in government colleges of Punjab will get the benefit of this decision of the government. Along with this, this arrear will also be given to the non-teaching staff working in them.

6 year old demand fulfilled

Gurmeet Singh Meet Hair said that Bhagwant Mann government has fulfilled the demand of teachers since last 6 years. This announcement will put a burden of Rs 280 crore on the government exchequer, but this amount is nothing in front of the happiness of the teachers. The government will make up for this deficit from other sources.

Big announcement regarding Punjabi language

On the other hand, CM Bhagwant Mann made a big announcement regarding the promotion of Punjabi language by participating in a government program in Amritsar. He said that International Mother Language Day is celebrated on 21 February. There are still 2 months left for this day to come. Till then all boards should be done in Punjabi language on priority basis. Failure to do so will result in fines being imposed on them after February 21, for which the people themselves will be responsible.
