7th Pay Commission. Central employees can get good news in the month of March. The salary of central employees can increase up to 95 thousand. According to media reports, the Modi government at the Center can increase the fitment factor of the employees after Holi. With this, there is a possibility of an increase of 8000 in the basic salary i.e. the minimum basic salary will be 26000.

According to media reports, after 2016, the fitment factor of central employees can be increased once again in 2022. At present the fitment factor is 2.57 per cent and it can be increased to 3.68 per cent. This will benefit about 52 lakh employees. With the increase in fitment, there will also be a bumper increase in the minimum wages of central employees.

This will give the benefit of 8000 in the salary of the employees and the minimum wage will be 26000. Due to the increase in the basic salary, the dearness allowance will automatically increase. The basic salary will directly increase by Rs 8000 per month and Rs 96000 annually.

According to media reports, there is a possibility that it can be proposed in the Modi cabinet after the code of conduct for the ongoing assembly elections in 5 states is over and before Holi. There is also a demand of the employees that it should be increased soon. Last year, the employees union has also met the Cabinet Secretary and he was also assured. The government can announce it, but it did not happen. If sources are to be believed, the government is now paying more attention to the fitment factor and can consider it soon.

According to media reports, if we look at the salary calculation after increasing the fitment factor, then the fat will increase by 96000 annually. For example, if the minimum salary of a government employee is Rs 18,000, he will get Rs 46,260 (18,000 X 2.57 = 46,260) salary excluding all allowances as per the 2.57 fitment factor.

If the fitment factor increases from 2.57 to 3.68, then The same salary will be Rs 95,680 (26000X3.68 = 95,680). This will mean an increase in the overall salary of the employees by Rs 49,420. If the fitment factor is 3 times from 2.57 per cent, then the basic pay of the employees will increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 21,000. That means it will increase by Rs 3000. If the same happens to be 3.68 percent, then there will be an increase in salary up to 96 thousand.
