7th Pay Commission: Due to the fall in AICPI in January and February after December, the possibility of increasing DA (Dearness allowance) for July-August was being reduced. But with the arrival of March figures, the hope of a good DA hike has increased.

7th Pay Commission Latest Update: After January dearness allowance for central employees, another big news is coming. The government announced in March to increase the dearness allowance for January. After that in April it was announced to give it with arrears. Now in July, once again the dearness allowance of central employees may increase.

Dearness allowance may increase at the rate of 4%

The Dearness Allowance Hike of employees can be increased to get relief from the ever-increasing inflation. It is confirmed from the All India Consumer Price Index (AICPI) which came in March that dearness allowance may increase at the rate of 4% in July-August.

DA can exceed 38 percent

The decline in AICPI in January and February was less likely to increase the DA (Dearness allowance) for July-August. But now the hope has increased with the arrival of the number of March. If the DA hike remains to 4 per cent in July-August, then the DA of central employees will increase from 34 per cent to 38 per cent.

Clear the way for DA hike

Looking at the increase in the repo rate and rising inflation from the RBI, it is estimated that the DA hike can be more than 4 percent. That is, Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) can go beyond 38%. However, it is certain that the path of DA Hike has been cleared, which was being doubted earlier.

April to June numbers yet to come

There was a decline in the AICP Index for January and February 2022. The AICP index was 125.1 in January and 125 in February. It rose 1 point to 126 in March. Now the numbers for April-May and June are yet to come. If this figure goes above 126 then the DA hike can go beyond 4 per cent.

At present, dearness allowance is 34 percent

Let us tell you that the data of AICP index is released by the Ministry of Labor and Employment in January and July. On the basis of these, dearness allowance is increased. Till January 2022, the government employees have got the gift of 3% DA Hike. At present, his total DA is 34 percent. Now the Dearness Allowance (Next DA Hike) of July can be announced in August.

Why is DA given to employees?

Dearness allowance is given to the central and state government employees to improve their cost of living level. Despite the rise in inflation, there should be no difference in the standard of living of the employee. That’s why this allowance is given.
