new Delhi. 7th pay commission: The government has given a blow to the central employees. The government has categorically refused to revise the rate of increase in Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief for central employees and pensioners. Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhary said in reply to a question in Rajya Sabha that there is no need to increase Dearness Allowance by more than 3 per cent.

Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhary said in the Rajya Sabha on the increase in Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief, that the Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief of Central Government employees and pensioners will be calculated on the All India Consumer Price Index released by the Ministry of Labor. (AICPI-IW) based on the rate of inflation. The government told Parliament that the inflation rate in the last two quarters has been more than 5 per cent.

Why is the government stuck on only 3 percent?
Rajya Sabha MP Naran Bhai J Rathwa was asked on Tuesday, why does the increase in dearness allowance of central government employees and pensioners remain stable at 3% while the rate of inflation is high? Simultaneously, Jethwa asked whether the government would consider giving DA and DR according to the prices and not keep it constant at 3%? In response to this, Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhary said that the government has no plan to increase the dearness allowance by more than 3 percent.

This is hope
It is believed that the Modi government can give a big gift to the government employees before Holi. The Central Government can increase the Dearness Allowance of Central Government Employees and Pensioners by 3 percent in the next cabinet meeting. It is expected that the Modi government can increase the dearness allowance from 31 percent to 34 percent. This decision of the government will benefit more than 50 lakh government employees and more than 65 lakh pensioners.
