Dearness Allowance Hike has been increased for the employees of BSNL employees. The increased Dearness Allowance (DA) will be applicable from October 1 and will be paid in the salary of November 2021.

Dearness Allowance Hike has been increased for the employees of BSNL Employees. The increased Dearness Allowance (DA) will be applicable from October 1 and will be paid in the salary of November 2021. The employees will also get an increase in the house rent allowance (HRA Hike). After this announcement of the government, BSNL employees will get double benefit.
By how much did Dearness allowance increase?
Dearness Allowance of BSNL employees has been increased from 170 per cent to 179.3 per cent. Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) will be paid at the new rates to all the employees at the board level and below the board level. Employees who are paid on the basis of the 2007 Pay Revision in DA will get the benefit of increased salary.
DA increased in October
Significantly, the DA for BSNL employees was increased from 170.5 percent to 173.8 percent from July-September 2021. After that on October 1, it has been increased to 179.3 percent. Recently, out of total 1,49,577 employees of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), 78,323 employees were given voluntary retirement (VRS-Voluntary Retirement Service).
31 percent DA
Let us tell you that the dearness allowance of central employees was increased by 11% earlier also. After this, again in October, after the increase of 3% in DA, the total DA was 31 percent. This increase in DA and DR has been implemented from 1 July 2021. This will benefit 47.14 lakh central government employees and 68.62 lakh pensioners.
