New Delhi: There Is Important News For 52 Lakh Central Employees And 60 Lakh Pensioners. No Amendment Has Been Made In The New Pension System (NPS) Contribution Of Central Employees Working In Autonomous Central Bodies Under Various Ministries.

This Information Was Given By The Union Finance Ministry In A Written Reply To A Question In The Lok Sabha. According To The Finance Ministry, The Monthly NPS Contribution (NPS) Has Been Increased From 10 Per Cent To 14 Per Cent For New Recruitments Made After January 1, 2004.

At The Same Time, The NPS Of Central Employees Working In Autonomous Central Bodies Under Various Ministries Is Only 10 Percent Of Basic Pay And DA. No Decision Has Been Taken By The Department Of Expenditure Regarding Revision Of The Percentage Of Monthly Contribution Of The Government To The NPS In Respect Of Central Autonomous Bodies.

In A Written Reply From The Government, It Was Stated That The NPS Has Been Extended To All New Employees Joining Central Autonomous Bodies Under All Ministries/Departments Of The Central Government On Or After 1st April 2004. NPS Scheme Was Started For Central Government Employees From 1st January 2004.

Under NPS, A Fixed Amount Is Contributed Every Month In Which The Monthly Contribution Of 10 Per Cent Of Basic Salary And DA Is Paid By The Employee And The Government Also Contributed The Same Amount Before 2019. But The Government Had Increased Its Contribution By Four Per Cent. That Is, The Government And The Employees Used To Contribute Equally To The NPS. After This, From April 1, 2019, The Contribution Of The Center Was Increased To 14 Percent.

Meanwhile, The Central Employees Are Going To Get Another Good News. Dearness Allowance (DA) And Dearness Relief (DR) Have Been Increased From 17 Per Cent To 28 Per Cent And House Rent Allowance (HRA) Has Also Been Increased From 24 Per Cent To 27 Per Cent. According To Reports, The Government Can Announce It In September And Pay It In The Salary Of October. Employees Union Believes That If Dearness Allowance Is Announced In September, Then The Government Should Also Pay Arrears From July Till Now. Because, No Talk Has Been Made On The Arrears Of One And A Half Year Already.
