According to media reports, planning is underway to increase the fitment factor of central employees. At present, the minimum salary of central employees based on the fitment factor is Rs 18000. Central employees are demanding 3.68 times increase in minimum salary. If this is increased, then the minimum salary of central employees will increase to Rs 26 thousand.
