Reserve Bank Of India: Big news is coming out regarding 2000 rupee notes. At present, notes of Rs 2, Rs 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 2000 rupees are being issued in the market by the Reserve Bank. In such a situation, RBI has given special information regarding 2000 rupee notes.

Meanwhile, a big thing is coming out regarding the notes of 2000 rupees that once again these notes are very less visible in the market, about which big information has been given by the Reserve Bank.

2000 notes not being printed

Let us tell you that not a single note of Rs 2,000 has been printed for the last three years. In such a situation, this note (2000 rupee note) is not equal in circulation. According to RTI, no new notes of Rs 2,000 have been printed during the years 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22.

RBI issues notes

At present, notes of Rs 2, Rs 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 2000 rupees are being issued in the market by the Reserve Bank. PM Modi had put 500 and 1000 rupee notes out of circulation on 8 November 2016. In return, new notes of Rs 2000 and Rs 500 were issued.

The purpose of issuing new notes was that the new notes should spread across the country as soon as possible, but now at this time 2000 rupee notes are seen very less in the market . According to the information received from the RBI, as of March 31, 2022, the share of Rs 2000 notes in the country’s circulation is only 13.8 percent.

If we talk about the number of fake notes

then in the year 2018 it was 54,776. In the year 2019 this figure was 90,566 and in the year 2020 it was 2,44,834 notes.
