Rules Change from 1st October: Only 5 days are left for the month of October to start. Many big changes are going to happen in the country from 1st October. These changes will directly affect your pocket.


If you know about these changes, then you can avoid any kind of problem. This includes from the rules of credit-debit cards to changes in mutual funds. Let us tell you what changes are going to happen from October.

  1. Rules will change regarding free electricity in Delhi from October 1
    From October 1, the rules regarding free electricity in Delhi will change. The subsidy received by the Delhi government on the electricity bill will be stopped after September 31. Now only the consumers applying for the subsidy will get its benefit. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had recently announced this new rule.
  2. Token purchase instead of card
    The rules related to debit and credit cards are being changed from October 1. The card-on-file tokenization rule is going to change from October 1. In view of the increasing cases of online fraud, now the government is making changes in the rules. So that the incidents of fraud can be prevented. After the implementation of the system of payment by token instead of card, the cases of fraud will come down.
  3. Factor Authentication in demat account
    The National Stock Exchange had issued a circular in June. In which it was told that by September 30, the demat account holders have to complete the process of two-factor authentication. Otherwise they will not be able to log in to their demat account from 1st October.
  4. Nomination required in mutual fund
    After October 1, it will be necessary for people investing in mutual funds to provide nomination details. Investors who fail to do so will have to fill a declaration form and declare that they will not avail the facility of nomination. Nomination facility will have to be declared in the declaration. Earlier this rule was to be implemented from August 1, 2022.
  5. No Atal Pension to tax payers
    Income tax return filers will not be able to take advantage of Atal Pension Yojana from October 1. This clearly means that people whose income is more than Rs 2.50 lakh will not be able to invest in Atal Pension Yojana. Under this scheme, a pension of five thousand rupees is available every month.
  6. Gas cylinder can be expensive

  7. This new plan is going to be implemented regarding air pollution
    A Graded Response Action Plan will be implemented in Delhi NCR regarding air pollution from October 1. This plan has been prepared regarding the dangerous situation of air pollution in Delhi-NCR during winters. In such a situation, from the generators spreading smoke to the vehicles etc., it will have an effect on everyone. With the onset of winter, the problem of pollution in Delhi-NCR increases.
  8. High interest possible on small savings
    After increasing the repo rate of the Reserve Bank, banks have increased the interest on savings account and fixed deposits (FD). In such a situation, interest on post office’s RD, KCC, PPF and other small savings schemes may increase. The Finance Ministry will announce this on 30 September. If this happens, you can get high interest on small savings too.
  9. E-nomination mandatory in NPS
    PFRDA has recently changed the process of e-nomination for both government and private or corporate sector employees. The change will be effective from October 1, 2022. As per the new NPS e-nomination process, the Nodal Office will have the option to accept or reject the e-nomination request of the NPS account holder. If the Nodal Office does not initiate any action against the request within 30 days of its allotment, the e-nomination request will be accepted in the system of Central Record Keeping Agencies (CRAs).
  10. New designed tires will be used
    From October 1, your vehicles will get new design tires. It will be mandatory to sell vehicles with new tires from April 1, 2023. Notification has been issued for this.
