The Uttar Pradesh government is preparing to honor meritorious students from the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will honor the 10th and 12th grade toppers from the UP Board, CBSE, CISCE, and Sanskrit Board at a special event on June 1, 2026. Selected students and their parents from across the state will attend the event.
A total of 223 meritorious students will be honored by the state government. These include toppers from various boards. The UP Board has the highest number of students selected. Additionally, students from the CBSE, CISCE, and Sanskrit boards have also been invited to the event. All students have been instructed to attend the event with a parent.
Toppers will get Rs 1 lakh and a tablet.
Students honored by the government will receive an incentive of ₹1 lakh, a tablet, and a certificate of honor. Students will also receive separate honors in their respective districts. Awards and certificates will also be presented at the district level.
A total of 1,459 students who placed in the top 10 in various districts across the state will also be honored. These students will receive 21,000 rupees, medals, and certificates. The government will transfer this amount directly to the students’ bank accounts. District administrations have been instructed to complete preparations for the program.
Students will reach Lucknow by May 31
The state-level program will be held in Lucknow. The Secondary Education Department has issued instructions to all District School Inspectors to ensure that the selected students arrive in Lucknow by the evening of May 31st . The program will begin at 11 am on June 1st. The program will also be broadcast live at all district headquarters.
Director of Secondary Education, Dr. Mahendra Dev has instructed the officials to make the program a success. The government’s objective is to encourage meritorious students and motivate other students to perform better. This initiative of the state government is being considered a big step towards creating a positive environment in the field of education.
