Weather Update: Heavy rain likely in these states on September 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23, thunderstorm alert

Heavy Rain: Very heavy rainfall very likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during 18-19th; Bihar during 18-20th; Andaman and Nicobar Islands during 18-21st September.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and strong winds (speed 30-40 kmph) in eastern India during the next 5-6 days.

Heavy rains will occur in these states including Nagaland during September 18-23

According to the IMD, heavy rainfall is likely over Arunachal Pradesh during September 18-19; over Assam and Meghalaya during September 18-23, and over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura during September 19-23. Heavy rainfall is likely over Uttarakhand and eastern Uttar Pradesh on September 18.

Heavy rains will occur in these states including Tamil Nadu during 18-19

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is expected over Tamil Nadu during the 18th and 19th; over Kerala and Mahe, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, coastal and south interior Karnataka on the 18th. Strong surface winds (speeds reaching 30-40 kmph) are expected over Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema during the next five days.

Thunderstorms likely over West India during next 4 days

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely at many/few places over West India during the next 4 days, with isolated heavy rainfall likely over Konkan & Goa and Madhya Maharashtra on September 18.
