Today Weather: The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rain from Andhra Pradesh to Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Due to the weather system formed in the Bay of Bengal, heavy rain is falling in the south Indian states.

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rain with strong thunderstorms in the east coastal states. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department said that a mild winter has started to be felt in Delhi-NCR. The sky is expected to remain clear in Delhi by the end of this week.

Heavy rains lashed many parts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu on Saturday. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert. Due to the withdrawal of monsoon, heavy rains are being received in south Indian states. The IMD has issued an alert stating that light to moderate rains are likely with gusty winds reaching 40 kmph. The Meteorological Department has also said that with the arrival of the northeast monsoon, there will be heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Heavy rains are likely in the Nilgiris and western Tamil Nadu in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Punjab weather

Despite this, the temperature across the state remained 2.2 degrees below normal. The highest temperature in the last 24 hours was 32.8 degrees, which was recorded in Bathinda. Cyclonic circulation in the Arabian Sea

Meanwhile, a cyclonic circulation has formed over the southeast Arabian Sea and north Kerala coast, due to which heavy rains are likely to occur along the west coast. Due to this weather phenomenon, heavy rains are being received in interior Karnataka, Goa and Konkan region. The Meteorological Department has said that heavy rains and strong winds are expected in the west coastal states till October 15.

The Meteorological Department has predicted clear skies in Delhi. Predicting the arrival of winter in Delhi, the Meteorological Department said that the maximum temperature is expected to be 33 degrees Celsius. Friday witnessed the arrival of the winter season of 2025-26 in Delhi. For the first time in this season, the temperature fell below 20 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature was recorded at 18.8 degrees, which is a sign of the arrival of winter.
