The weather has taken a turn once again in Madhya Pradesh. Due to the activation of a cyclonic circulation, rain is expected in many parts of the state for the next four days.
According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain is possible in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, as well as Harda, Narmadapuram, Betul, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, and Seoni districts. The dry weather of the past few days is now gradually becoming moist and cool.
Cyclonic circulation changes weather, clouds will rain again after Diwali
Weather experts say that a new cyclonic circulation has formed in the southeast Bay of Bengal, causing changes in wind patterns across central India. Its effects are now clearly visible in Madhya Pradesh. Since Diwali, the state has been cloudy, and light rain has been recorded in many areas. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for almost all districts in the Indore, Bhopal, and Jabalpur divisions. The next 24 hours are considered crucial for these areas, as there is a possibility of rain accompanied by thunderstorms.
Night temperatures drop, cold sets in
Along with the rain, the cold is also being felt in Madhya Pradesh. In the last two days, a drop in night temperature has been recorded in many cities of the state. In Chhatarpur’s Naugaon, the mercury dropped to 16.3 degrees Celsius, which was the coldest place of this season. Whereas, the minimum temperature in Rajgarh was recorded at 16.6 degrees. The mercury in the capital Bhopal was 17.2 degrees, in Indore 20.2 degrees, in Jabalpur 18 degrees, in Gwalior 20.5 degrees and in Ujjain 22 degrees Celsius. Meteorologists say that in the coming days, the effect of both cold and rain will be seen together.
Rain returns in the post-monsoon season
The month of October is usually considered the beginning of the post-monsoon season, but this year the weather is experiencing unusual activity. After monsoon rains, post-monsoon showers are now falling in many parts of the state. On Tuesday, the Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain in Bhopal, Rajgarh, Shajapur, Barwani, Khargone, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Raisen, Dewas, Sehore, Vidisha, Betul, Sagar, Narsinghpur, Damoh, Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Mandla, Balaghat and Dindori districts. The sky will remain cloudy in these areas and drizzle may also occur at some places.
The combined effect of cold and moisture will continue
The Meteorological Department predicts that this intermittent rain will continue in Madhya Pradesh until the last week of October. Despite mild sunshine during the day, nights will remain cold and humid. Due to increased humidity, fog or mist may also be seen in the morning. Experts believe this change signals the gradual onset of cold weather. Temperatures may drop further in the coming days, further intensifying the winter’s impact on the state.
