Very Heavy Rain Alert: The India Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in the states of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Northeast India during July 20 to 26. Heavy rainfall is expected in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from July 20 to 24 and continuous rains in coastal Odisha from July 23. The Meteorological Department has predicted that heavy to very heavy rains may continue in Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana and Tamil Nadu during the next 6 to 7 days.

Heavy rains are expected in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir during 21 to 24 July. Heavy rains may occur in western Uttar Pradesh on 21 July, eastern Uttar Pradesh on 26 July and eastern Rajasthan on 22 and 26 July.

According to the Meteorological Department, very heavy rains are likely at some places in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal during 23 to 25 July.

Heavy rainfall is likely to continue in Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand during 23 to 26 July, Odisha during 20 to 26 July, Bihar on 20 and 21 July.
