UP Weather Update: Monsoon activity continues in Uttar Pradesh. A new alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department for today i.e. 26 August, according to which the weather can change rapidly in many parts of the state.

In such a situation, people have been advised to be very cautious. Due to these seasonal activities, light to heavy rains are expected in many districts, which may affect life.

According to the Meteorological Department, these districts are likely to receive moderate to heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds:
Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Barabanki, Sitapur, and Lakhimpur Kheri.

Thunderstorms, lightning, light to moderate rain and strong winds (30-40 KMPH) are also likely in these districts:
Jaunpur, Pratapgarh, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Mathura, Aligarh Sultanpur, Ambedkar Nagar, Ayodhya, Unnao, Lucknow, Barabanki, Hardoi, Sitapur, Bahraich, Gonda, Shravasti, Shahjahanpur, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Aligarh, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bijnor, Saharanpur.
