UP: Mandate issued for new session and examinations of universities, online classes will start from August 4

In Uttar Pradesh, the mandate has been issued for new sessions and examinations of universities. Online classes for second and third year undergraduate and postgraduate students at state universities and degree colleges will start from August 4.

Lucknow, Shailesh Arora:  Higher Education Department has issued a mandate regarding new session in state universities. The entire academic calendar for the session 2020-21 from studies to examinations has been released. Instructions have been given to complete the process of admission for graduation first year by 15 September. At the same time, admissions will be completed in the post graduation first year by 31 October. Given the circumstances of Kovid-19, the entire process of admission will be online.



 

Online classes will start from August 4
and except for the post-graduation first year, online classes for all other year’s students will start from August 4. If the situation is normal with Corona, then direct classes will also be started from 1 October. That is, students will come to university and college and attend class. Students taking the new admission i.e. Graduation First Year classes will begin on October 1, while Post Graduation First Year will begin on November 1.

According to the syllabus, the arrangement of offline classes with online will be for 45 days only online classes. After this, there will be classes on campus, following online as well as social distancing. Rotation will be made for this. For example, one year students will make 3-4 groups for 1 week and there will be classes of different subjects. After this in the next week, others and then others Universities have also been asked to conduct live sessions in affiliated colleges with the help of smart class.

 



Software and virtual labs come practical, the
government has also issued guidelines for practicals. Universities have been asked to make them practical with the help of simulation software and virtual labs. For practical for which physical presence is necessary, according to the rotation, make a schedule of 1-1 weeks and call the students. Teachers have to prepare minute strategic planning for studies by 3 August.

 

This time, mid-term is mandatory, the number will be added to the result.
All universities and colleges will have to make provision for mid-term examination along with the national examination. Departments and colleges will send marks to the university by conducting examinations online or offline by their level. The result will be made by adding 25 to 50 percent of the total marks obtained in the related question paper to the students in the annual or semester examination of the mid-term, secondary exam, tutorial, assignment, project.



 

According to the proposed academic calendar by the government, universities have been asked to prepare their academic calendar and upload it on the website by 20 July. According to the government’s proposed calendar, the mid-term or back paper examination has been asked till 5 December.
