UP Anganwadi Recruitment 2025: Large-scale recruitment of workers and assistants will take place in Uttar Pradesh’s Anganwadis. A total of 69,000 vacancies will be filled. Women who have passed the 12th standard can apply by visiting upanganwadibharti.in.
The UP government is going to fill 7952 vacant posts of Anganwadi workers and 61254 vacant posts of Anganwadi assistants. To fill these posts, a committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate in all the districts. Inter pass women will be eligible for recruitment on these posts.
Instructions in this regard have been sent to all the districts by the Directorate of Child Development Services and Nutrition. It has been said that the details of vacant posts in the districts will be uploaded on the portal. For this, the portal upanganwadibharti.in has been prepared. Inter pass women will be eligible for recruitment on these posts. Their age should be 18 to 35 years.
Opportunity for 12th pass, maximum age 50 years
Fifty percent of Anganwadi worker positions will be filled by Anganwadi assistants. In rural areas, where Anganwadi positions are vacant, assistants who have completed a minimum of five years of service in the Gram Sabha and in urban areas, those who have completed five years of ward service will be eligible. The maximum age should be 50 years, along with passing the Intermediate examination. Women older than this age will not be eligible. If an assistant has been negligent and has taken unauthorized leave for three months or more, she will not be given the opportunity.
Out of the total 7952 posts of Anganwadi workers, 2123 posts are vacant from last year’s recruitment. These posts are vacant due to faulty records, non-application as per reservation and some selected candidates not joining the charge even after selection. 5523 posts are from the new selection process. In this, new posts have been created due to opening of new Anganwadi centres. Out of 61254 posts of Anganwadi helpers, 38994 posts have been created due to completion of 62 years of age and death and 22260 posts have been created due to upgradation of mini Anganwadi centres to main Anganwadi centres. Anganwadi workers get a monthly honorarium of Rs 7500 and Anganwadi helpers get Rs 3750.
Preference in recruitment
Widowed, divorced, or abandoned women from families living below the poverty line will be given priority in recruitment. If they are not available in the Gram Panchayat, category-wise selection will be made from the Nyaya Panchayat.
There will be no backlog now
Fifty percent of the vacant Anganwadi worker positions will be filled by assistants. If assistants are not available, the remaining positions will be filled through direct recruitment. There will be no backlog in recruitment this time.
